Old Houses of Silay and Iloilo City

Silay City, Negros Occidental

The City of Silay is often regarded as the “Paris of Negros” owe to its vibrant culture and art which can be found all over the charming city. One thing I enjoyed about my trip to Silay years ago was that, visitors like me can actually go inside the old houses like the Balay Negrense and the Bernardo-Jalandoni Museum to get the vibe of these old houses. I will be posting on a separate article, hopefully soon the pictures of these wonderful homes. But for now, here are some pictures of the old houses in Barangay Cinco de Noviembre in Silay City.

Meanwhile in Iloilo City, here are some houses which called my attention.

This actually is a gated house and I just took this picture from the gate.

The two pictures below are houses near the Jaro Cathedral.
